Abstract |
Speckle pattern is due to interference between scattered waves transmit or reflect from a rough surface. This pattern gives accurate information about the surface. Speckle technique is the most important one for deformation measurements, these deformation may be result from different reasons such as, thermal or mechanical stresses and cracks. Beside that speckle techniques are very useful in medical and biological measurements. These measurements such as: blood flow, living cell and tissues investigation. The importance of speckle technique results from its advantages as it is non-contact technique, whole field measurements, its accuracy is within fraction of the wavelength of the used light and real time measurement. The most important statistical parameters of the speckle pattern are speckle contrast and speckle correlation. These parameters are studied previously under the condition that, the phases of scattered waves are independent of each other. The aim of this thesis is to study the speckle contrast under the condition of dependent phases of the scattered waves from a rough surface. |
